Search continues for Micael Okwan Mitchel<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Police and other officials involved in the search for missing 17-year-old Micael Okwan Mitchel of Fond Cole, who disappeared in the Boeri River in Canefield on the stormy afternoon of Sunday, September 19, are still to make a discovery.<\/p>\n

Police spokesman Claude Weekes said yesterday that the search has still not been called off, and he could not say when the search will be called off. He said the subject of foul play could not be determined until the recovery of the boy, who is presumed dead, is made.<\/p>\n

Today marks 18 days since Mitchel got swept away by the heavy currents of the Boeri River in an attempt to cross it. This is according to information given to the boy\u2019s mother by his friends who were at the river with him when the incident reportedly occurred.<\/p>\n

His mother was informed of the incident between 5 and 6 pm of the evening of September 19. She last saw her son alive about 11:00 that morning.<\/p>\n
