with the UWP orchestrated the video.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u201cI have come to the realization that we have lost some of our people through a culture of ignorance and who will believe anything they hear on Q- 95 or Facebook that has a negative spin about Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit,\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Astaphan said it is obvious that whoever did that report did it out of malice, greed, jealousy and\/or ignorance.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_148115\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-148115\" style=\"width: 580px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-148115\" src=\"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/isaac-baptiste.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/isaac-baptiste.jpg 580w, https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/isaac-baptiste-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-148115\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Baptiste said the video is a diversionary tactic to draw attention away from the real issue<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the President of the Opposition United Workers Party (UWP), Isaac Baptiste, said the report is not only fake but a diversionary tactic to derail attention from the real issue at hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s not logical; it\u2019s not practical; it\u2019s not based on current issues and we think it&#8217;s DLP propaganda trying to change the narrative on the accounting for the $1.2 billion Dominicans are demanding that it be accounted for,\u201d he told Dominicanewsonline (DNO) in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Baptiste, Prime Minister Skerrit said a couple of weeks ago that he [Skerrit] had asked the accounting officers to do the accounting and the opposition will be embarrassed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are still waiting on it,\u201d Baptiste remarked. \u201cHe is not answering what [are] the results of his accounting, and this is what we want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added, \u201cWe want to know, where the money gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Baptiste made it clear that no amount of labour party propaganda trying to change the narrative and the focus of Dominicans will change that demand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhether or not he accounted for it before or after the election, he shall account for it as Minister of Finance,\u201d the UWP president said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_236405\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-236405\" style=\"width: 394px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-236405\" src=\"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Marlon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Marlon.jpg 394w, https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Marlon-300x148.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-236405\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marlon Giraudel denied creating the video<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Marlon Giraudel, a Dominican living in the United States said that accusations that he created the video, &#8220;seem to be DLP plot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYesterday I saw this video pop up, the BBC story. Immediately after about 10 seconds, I said it was fake because the Attorney General who appeared in the video is the Attorney General who was there under the Obama administration, so immediately I knew it was fake\u2026,\u201d he contended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI live in America; I watch CNN every day so that is things I knew off my head.,&#8221; Giraudel added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like Baptiste, he is accusing the ruling party of creating their own propaganda against Roosevelt Skerrit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giraudel said there is no need to create fake propaganda against Roosevelt Skerrit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSkerrit has done everything by himself. His own actions were enough\u2026for us to vote him out.
