The total value of the items was $1,667.72.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts, who appeared before Magistrate Ossie Lewis yesterday, also faced a charge of possession of cannabis to which he was sentenced to pay a fine of $300 by April 15, 2011 or he will face one month in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts insisted that though he was guilty of having the illegal drug he never stole the said items.<\/p>\n<p>His attempts to obtain a self bail were futile. During investigations Roberts reportedly told police, \u201cIf is hell I have to go I will go\u201d when he was confronted on allegations of theft and burglary.<\/p>\n<p>The small quantity of cannabis was found while police searched him during their investigations for the other crimes.<\/p>\n<p>He will appear in court on April 5 for trial in the theft matter.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate\u00a0 Ossie Lewis presided over the matter.
