Sometimes with no breakfast but you just pressed on<\/p>\n
As a young son you grew always taking a look<\/p>\n
Even challenging a few as you read so many books<\/p>\n
Your innate talent was borne listening to the stories told<\/p>\n
From the elders you learned our Mother Tongue called Creole<\/p>\n
Representing your village later called South City<\/p>\n
Without any entourage you made it your duty<\/p>\n
You continued your journey just to discover<\/p>\n
You were teaching so many with so much fervour<\/p>\n
You became so engaged in your native tongue<\/p>\n
Filled with so much courage you reached out to everyone<\/p>\n
With humility you visited the elders with whom you shared<\/p>\n
They were always elated your presence they held so dear<\/p>\n
The commercials on the radio heard with so much emotion<\/p>\n
Your messages just flowed filled with so much passion<\/p>\n
You visited the sick and represented the homeless<\/p>\n
You didn\u2019t play any trick \u00a0just experienced their stress<\/p>\n
Going to the prison was no easy task<\/p>\n
You were on a mission no questions to ask<\/p>\n
As far as education the students were introduced<\/p>\n
To Reading competitions which have left them enthused<\/p>\n
Even in your pain you continued your mission<\/p>\n
A commitment you didn\u2019t feign it was always in action<\/p>\n
Listening to your colleagues as they uttered one voice<\/p>\n
It was such an intrigue they caused many to rejoice<\/p>\n
Your family must be commended being at your side<\/p>\n
They were so committed as they demonstrated their drive<\/p>\n
You touched many lives both near and far<\/p>\n
There should be an archive since you were such a star<\/p>\n
In body you\u2019re absent but we know quite well<\/p>\n
Your spirit is still present your story we\u2019ll continue to tell<\/p>\n
You were a great son<\/p>\n
