Recording artist\u00a0AbiYah Yisrael<\/strong>\u00a0has released cultural music from\u00a0her homeland, the\u00a0Commonwealth of Dominica<\/strong>. In this\u00a0Cadence-lypso (Kadans)\u00a0“System La”<\/strong>\u00a0Abiyah delivers soothing music with piercing lyrics.<\/p>\n

This is AbiYah’s second Kadans song since\u00a0her release of\u00a0Kalinago Nation<\/strong>.\u00a0AbiYah as usual,\u00a0brings forth conscious\u00a0lyrics that will resonate in the heart of your pockets.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0“System La”\u00a0<\/strong>She addresses\u00a0the issue of unemployment,\u00a0as well as the issue\u00a0of non stop wars draining, blood and finance that could have otherwise contributed to a better world. AbiYah believes and suggests,\u00a0realization of oneself and self sufficiency<\/strong>\u00a0 as protection and a way out of the trap\u00a0“System La”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“System La”<\/strong>\u00a0first verse and chorus are sung in\u00a0Kw\u00e9y\u00f2l (creole)<\/strong>\u00a0Dominica’s\u00a02nd\u00a0language.\u00a0<\/strong>Kw\u00e9y\u00f2l is a form of French Patois widely spoken all over the island. The chorus translated to\u00a0English\u00a0says,\u00a0‘<\/em>woy woy woy, The system is squeezing us.\u00a0Wy wy wy,\u00a0Babylon\u00a0is strangling us.’<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Not just metaphorically but literally as seen with the recent situations with law enforcement\u00a0and African descents living in America.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0

\nThe song was produced, recorded and mixed at ChaYah Studios Castle Bruce, Commonwealth of Dominica by Hilroy\u00a0“ObadYah”\u00a0<\/strong>Alfred \u00a0and mastered by Dernel\u00a0“Dernz”<\/strong>\u00a0Green.\u00a0 The ear-catching\u00a0saxophone was done by\u00a0Jussi Paavola<\/strong>\u00a0and the bass guitars by Jervon\u00a0‘Jah Dan’<\/strong> Henderson.<\/p>\n
