The first 12 nursing programme students of the All Saints University will receive their bachelor of science degree on Wednesday, 13th January, 2021<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>The All Saints University School of Medicine (ASUSM) will formally recognise the accomplishments of its first class of students who read for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing on Wednesday 13th January 2021.<\/p>\n

The graduation ceremony will be held at the St Alphonsus Parish Hall, beginning at 5:00 pm, and embraces the theme \u201cEmbracing uncertainty; challenges and transformation\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Digicel Dominica, is partnering with ASUSM to carry the graduation ceremony live on YouTube and Facebook<\/p>\n

In 2007, All Saints University School of Medicine began preparation for the offering of Nursing. This four-year, eight-semester programme, is endorsed by the General Nursing Council for Dominica. It is equivalent to any nurse baccalaureate programme internationally, and prepares graduates effectively, to challenge the Regional Examination for Nurse Registration, which qualifies them to practice Nursing in the Region. The University will continue to provide support to these graduates to also prepare them for International licensure.<\/p>\n

ASUSM is in full compliance with the Government of Dominica protocols for managing Covid-19, and so, will have limited number of relatives and friends of the graduating class and government officials at the venue.<\/p>\n

The feature speaker will be Mrs. Vanya Bruney-Loblack, a prominent Dominican nurse for over 30 years.<\/p>\n

Mrs Terrilia Ravaliere, the Principal Nursing Officer, will put on each graduate, the University\u2019s nursing pin.<\/p>\n

The Minister for Health will distribute to deserving graduates, Awards for Academic Excellence, Clinical Competence, Leadership, Caring and the Director\u2019s Professional Award.<\/p>\n

All Saints University is extremely grateful to those who were instrumental in getting the students competent.
