I don\u2019t think anything is wrong with my song as compared to other songs I am hearing played on DBS.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think they have any reason for banning my song. It is very, very mild as compared to other songs I hear DBS airing,\u201d Sye told Dominica News Online.<\/p>\n<p>The calypsonian said the move by DBS would not have a negative effect on his musical career, but instead strengthen and motivate him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think I am raw, vulgar&#8230;I just don\u2019t see anything wrong with my song. It means that I am going to take my song to the next level. I think that\u2019s strength for me, I will use it as a motivating factor,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>DBS Chairman Aurelius Jolly earlier said that the decision not to air certain calypsos was made to protect the radio station from legal action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs far as I am concerned, there is too much going on in the calypsos. Many of them tried to put traps for DBS and they will continue and that is what we are trying to protect the station against,\u201d Jolly stated.<\/p>\n<p>Yakima\u2019s calypso \u2018Lookin for their Pocket\u2019 and Prosper\u2019s \u2018Ma Dominique Garbage Bin\u2019 were also not being aired on the local station; however, that decision has since been reviewed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Murphy \u2018Sye\u2019 Jno Jules has come out in defense of his calypso entitled \u2018Dr Finger\u2019.
