Less than 36 hours after the shooting death of Ron Garth Jolly, a Fond Cole man has suffered a similar fate in the community of Yampiece.<\/p>\n

The police have confirmed to Dominica News Online (DNO) that just before 10:00 p.m on Friday 13, 2022, 38-year-old Lester Charles was gunned down in front of his home in Yampiece.<\/p>\n

Just three months before, on February 26, Charles sustained a gunshot wound to his head in Yampiece which left him nursing injuries for some time at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).<\/p>\n

The police stated after the attack that they were in search of the unknown shooter who fled the scene shortly after the crime.<\/p>\n

While an official statement from the police has not been released, a police source who spoke to DNO, said the public’s assistance is needed in solving the homicide of Charles as his attacker’s identity was unknown at the time.<\/p>\n

A similar appeal was also issued by Sergeant Fixton Henderson of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as it relates to the \u00a0drive-by shooting death of Jolly which occurred on Thursday May 12, 2022.<\/p>\n

The Louisville man who was a local artist known in the entertainment industry as Burn Brain Jolly, was in the community of Bath Estate with a group of friends when a vehicle approached them and an occupant opened fire.<\/p>\n

According to Henderson, Jolly received multiple gunshot wounds to his back, left arm, chest and head. The victim was rushed to the Dominica China Friend Hospital (DCFH) where he was examined and officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor at 9:54 p.m. on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone having any information regarding that fatal shooting incident at Bath Estate is urged to call the Criminal Investigation Department at 2665164, 2665165 or 2665119, 2665117,\u201d the Police Sergeant encouraged.<\/p>\n
