The fate of two brothers charged with the July 5, 2017, murder of Glen Joseph Alphonse is in the hands of High Court Judge, Justice Richard Floyd and the other, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).<\/p>\n

This, as Jerimiah Gustave has pleaded guilty to the murder of Alphonse while his co-accused, Randolph Gustave has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

On the aforementioned date in 2017, 29-year-old Alponse was approached and shot in the chest whilst on a public bus in Eggleston.<\/p>\n

The incident which is said to have occurred about 1:30 p.m was done in the presence of other passengers aboard the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The Giraudel man was transported to the then Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) where he was medically examined and pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

Subsequent to the shooting, the police were in search of the Gustave brothers who were said to have been in hiding for over a week. However, on July 13, 2017, the men surrendered to the police in Eggleston accompanied by their attorney.<\/p>\n

In 2021, at their arraignment, the brothers had pleaded not guilty to murder. However, earlier this month when the pair appeared before Justice Floyd, Jerimiah changed his plea.<\/p>\n

Following guilty plea, the presiding Judge ordered psychiatric and social inquiry reports for the convict by November 25, and set sentencing for December 2, 2022.<\/p>\n
