King Dice<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Nine time calypso king, Dennison \u2018Dice\u2019 Joseph has convincingly added another calypso crown to his cabinet of trophies.<\/p>\n

The veteran performer \u00a0gave a crowd-pleasing rendition of his blockbuster calypso “Chi Chi Bang Bang” to beat \u00a0Bobb into 2nd place, Checko into 3rd and Soul Puss 4th at the competition held on February 16, 2023.<\/p>\n

He said that this crown was intended to honor everyone who had supported him as he got ready for the national competition this evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels so good and I am so blessed to have nine crowns, so going for ten is \u00a0a blessing. I give Jah all the thanks and praise for that. I give all the Dominican people who have supported me throughout the years thanks for that and I hope that I can continue to give them the good vibes,\u201d the champ stated in an interview with state-owned radio.<\/p>\n

The competition was held at M&G\u2019s Jerk Hut N Bar in Castle Comfort.<\/p>\n

\u201cI give the Dominican people that supported me through all the years thanks for that and I hope that I can still continue to give them the good vibes that they love me for,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Daryl \u201cDe Bobb\u201d Bobb secured second place, Abel \u201cChecko\u201d Jno Baptiste placed third and Dave \u201cSoul Pus\u201d Pascal fourth.<\/p>\n
