Hit-and-run victim, Al Samora Knight<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

One individual is currently being sought by the Commonwealth of Dominica Police in connection with a road traffic collision that claimed the life of 33-year-old Al Samora Knight of Zicack Portsmouth.<\/p>\n

On Saturday 11, March 2023, at about 6:40 p.m., Knight was standing on the western side of a public road at Holland Street in Zicack Portsmouth when he was struck by a motor vehicle, Inspector Fixton Henderson reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe driver of that motor vehicle failed to bring the vehicle to a stop after the collision and drove away from the scene. The driver is currently being sought by the police,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Henderson further disclosed that after the collision, Knight was found lying on the street with apparent serious head injuries.<\/p>\n

According to the police inspector, Knight was transported to the Reginald Fitzroy Armour Hospital in Portsmouth via ambulance, where he was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor that same evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy. The Commonwealth of Dominica police force expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.\u201d Henderson remarked.<\/p>\n
