Jazz n Creole 2023<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The 12th annual Jazz n’ Creole event has recorded a 59 percent increase in attendance this year.<\/p>\n

\u00a0This was according to Tourism Minister Denise Charles.<\/p>\n

The event took place at the Cabrits National Park in Portsmouth on Sunday, April 30.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cWe are delighted to report the successful conclusion of the 12th edition of Dominica\u2019s Jazz n\u2019 Creole,\u201d she said. \u201cThe festival saw an impressive 55% increase in revenue and a 59% boost in attendance from 2022, attracting visitors from the region, the French West Indies, the United States, and Dominican nationals abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Charles, the heightened economic activity estimated at triple the government investment benefited local businesses, designers, makeup artists, accommodation providers, restaurant owners, tour guides, and local artists, to name a few<\/p>\n

Charles extended her gratitude to all who played their part in making the event a success.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we applaud the patrons, partners, and stakeholders of Jazz n Creole for their support, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming World Creole Music Festival,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

Charles describes events like these as crucial economic drivers for Dominica, \u201cgenerating employment opportunities\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

She encourages everyone to continue supporting these events as they contribute significantly to Dominica\u2019s growth and development.<\/p>\n
