Kernelle Benjamin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Six days after the disappearance of 18 year old Kernelle Benjamin, family members have confirmed that the young adult has been found dead.<\/p>\n

During a search and rescue carried out today in the town of Portsmouth where the mother of a 1 year-old child resides, Benjamin’s remains were discovered in the back of a home near the Portsmouth Hospital.<\/p>\n

During a previous interview, Benjamin’s mother, Melissa George, informed Dominica News Online (DNO) that her daughter was last seen in the Chance area on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, and to date no family members or acquaintances have seen her, nor have they been able to contact her because Benjamin does not own a cell phone.<\/p>\n

Police officers have confirmed to DNO that the body has been transported to the North Eastern Funeral Association (NEFA) pending an autopsy.<\/p>\n
