A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued by the Government of Dominica as TS Bret approaches the Lesser Antilles.<\/p>\n
A Tropical Storm Watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area, generally within 48 hours.<\/p>\n
At 5:00 pm, Bret was located about 835 miles east of the Windward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour.<\/p>\n
The storm is moving towards the west at near 18 mph.<\/p>\n
This general motion is expected to continue for the next several days.<\/p>\n
Forecasters predict the center of Bret is expected move across portions of the Lesser Antilles Thursday afternoon and Thursday night, and then move across the eastern Caribbean Sea on Friday.<\/p>\n
Officials in Dominica have been urging residents to be prepared and make all necessary arrangements as the storm approaches.<\/p>\n
