The new Permanent Representative of Dominica to the Organization of American States (OAS), Steve Ferrol, presented his credentials to OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC, Secretary General Almagro noted that \u201cDominica has partnered with the General Secretariat of the OAS in the four pillars of the Organization.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition,\u201d he added, \u201cwe are particularly pleased with the work we have been able to accomplish in the field of development, specifically in tourism and trade expansion, environmental issues and climate change, and the promotion of democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

For his part, Ambassador Ferrol highlighted his country\u2019s \u201clong and productive relationship with the OAS,\u201d and added that \u201cwe remain committed to the values, activities,\u00a0 programs geared towards advancing democracy, human rights, security, and development.\u201d<\/p>\n
