{"id":324710,"date":"2024-06-18T14:00:25","date_gmt":"2024-06-18T18:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/?p=324710"},"modified":"2024-06-18T14:00:25","modified_gmt":"2024-06-18T18:00:25","slug":"cccul-to-hold-16th-agm-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/homepage\/homepage-carousel\/cccul-to-hold-16th-agm-today\/","title":{"rendered":"CCCUL to hold 16th AGM today"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_164705\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-164705\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-164705\" src=\"https:\/\/dominicanewsonline.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/irish-e1718733491519-642x494.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"492\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-164705\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aylmer Irish\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Central Co-operative Credit Union Ltd (CCCUL) will hold its 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Goodwill Parish Hall today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Board of Directors will report to the membership the achievement of the society during the financial year ending December 31, 2023,\u201d General Manager of the CCCUL, Aylmer Irish said. \u201cSome of the major highlights include an increase in the membership by 806, increase in accumulated surplus by 1.13 million dollars, and of course, of great interest to the members would be the surplus of $1,296,453, compared to $817,662,\u00a0 in the previous year of 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Mr. Irish, that is an increase of just over $478,000 or 58.57 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, he revealed that the loans portfolio also increased by 7.64 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cGenerally we can report that the year 2023 was a successful year and we look forward to greater things in 2024,\u201d Mr. Irish stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Members of the CCCUL are encouraged to attend and participate in today\u2019s meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CCCUL was registered as a newly formed credit union on July 2, 2007, on the amalgamation of the St. Alphonsus and Portsmouth credit unions.
