Minister of Housing, Land & Urban Development, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit\u00a0 has revealed that 50 families will soon receive keys to their new homes.<\/p>\n

She made the announcement during the annual President’s Charities Foundation cheque presentation ceremony held at the State House Conference Centre on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, usually I push towards the end of the year to provide the ultimate gift, the gift of home, and we have been successful this year again and soon in a couple of weeks we will be handing over 50 homes that are ready to give out to deserving families,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

According to Poponne-Skerrit, \u00a0this initiative is a testament to the government’s commitment to ensuring that everyone has a place to call a home, \u201ca foundation from which they can thrive and flourish.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furthermore, she announced that her ministry is gearing up to spread some Christmas cheer in every corner in the \u201cvibrant City of Roseau.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur annual Christmas Village at the Botanic Gardens which has blossomed into a beloved tradition since the inception in 2019, will once again be an exciting hub of joy welcoming visitors from all walks of life,\u201d Poponne-Skerrit stated.<\/p>\n

She describes the \u2018Christmas Village\u2019 as a magical place where families come together, laughter fills the air and the true essence of the season shines brightly.<\/p>\n
