LIAT 20 inaugural flight<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

LIAT 20 is making strides in its mission to enhance connectivity across the Caribbean, with significant developments marking its progress. Recently, the airline inaugurated flights to the vibrant island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, a noteworthy achievement in its expansion journey.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at Piarco International Airport, LIAT 20’s aircraft received a celebratory water cannon salute, a cherished tradition signifying a warm welcome. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as LIAT 20 officials were greeted by dignitaries from Trinidad\u2019s government, highlighting the importance of this new route in strengthening regional ties.<\/p>\n

Hafsah Abdulsalam, Chief Executive of LIAT 20, expressed her gratitude for the warm reception in Trinidad and Tobago. \u201cWe are happy that we are progressing towards connecting the region. Our goal is to ensure travel from the North to the South all in one day. Connecting the islands is more than just a service; it\u2019s a lifeline that unites families and generates employment,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n

Abdulsalam emphasized the airline’s aim of delivering seamless travel across the Caribbean. \u201cWe are building a future where every island, community, and individual can feel the impact of our shared aspirations,\u201d she added. She also highlighted that LIAT is setting new standards in passenger service, sharing her experience with a competitor airline that provided only a small water bottle, compared to the superior services offered by LIAT 20.<\/p>\n

The airline’s commitment to maintaining high standards and reliable service remains unwavering. Having launched on October 6th, LIAT 20 has already opened routes to 12 destinations and plans to begin direct flights to Kingston, Jamaica soon.<\/p>\n

Kidus Melkamu, Chief Operations Officer, stated that the airline is dedicated to providing exceptional service while prioritizing safety. \u201cOur primary goal is to achieve the highest level of safety so travelers can connect with families and conduct business securely,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Melkamu clarified that LIAT 20 does not aim to compete with other airlines but to collaborate and meet travelers’ needs without disrupting existing carriers. \u201cWe want to grow the pie, not divide the pie. Promoting travel within the Caribbean and beyond is our mission. We believe the Caribbean should establish its own international routes,\u201d he commented.<\/p>\n

Randall Mitchell, the Tourism Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, welcomed this new service as a pivotal moment in the region’s development. He noted that LIAT 20 would provide an additional 250 seats daily at the airport, amounting to 1,750 seats each week.
