Dapo, Ma Simon.\u00a0 Born in the village of St. Joseph in 1923 as Polly Agnis Mason, my mom got married to Simon Jno. Baptiste, a police officer.<\/p>\n

They had six children.Sandra,Sarah,Theresa, Addison,Allixson, one of the original members of the Gramacks band, and Wellington Jno.Baptiste.<\/p>\n

At 102 years old she lives in Toronto, Canada with her daughters. Polly is the last of her brothers and sisters, with her sister Islie Mason just passing away in Brooklyn, New York, last month.<\/p>\n

In 1975 she was recognized as the Mother of the Year in St.Joseph for helping and caring for the people of St.Joe, Layou and Mero. Where some of her family still reside.<\/p>\n
