While an investigation for manslaughter has been entrusted to the &#8220;collective accidents&#8221; pole of the Paris prosecutor&#8217;s office, the bodies of the first two victims have been recovered, and are currently in the hands of the Dominican authorities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aircraft crashed at 750 meters above sea level, on a rocky ridge inaccessible by land, and the wreckage is suspended in a vacuum, held only by vegetation. &#8220;The wall is almost vertical, covered with dense vegetation, making the approach very dangerous&#8221; Denis Vuillemin, head of the Martinique helicopter base for civil security, said last week. &#8220;It moves and has already changed position several times. &#8220;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the request of the prefect and the French embassy in Saint Lucia, the foreign ministry and the gendarmerie, which is a French civilian military force, authorized the deployment, with the agreement of the Dominican authorities, of a section of the platoon of high mountain gendarmerie (PGHM), for &#8220;a last attempt to recover &#8220;the last two bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team is\u00a0 &#8220;made up of seasoned experts, experienced in extreme environments and the most dangerous exercises&#8221; the prefecture said in a statement.
