Chief Executive Officer of Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) Marva Williams has dubbed the 2025 Carnival Celebrations, as a unique celebration with \u201cmassive success\u201d.<\/p>\n
Yesterday marked the end of two days of street jump-up for Mas Domnik 2025.<\/p>\n
According to Williams, the Carnival\u2019s genuine reflection of local traditions, its accessible pricing, a safe environment and the celebration of cultural diversity have set Dominica apart from other Caribbean Carnivals.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur highlights include our colourful parades, our electrifying performances that blossom through the Bouyon artists and Calypso,\u201d she stated, \u201c…our spectacular display of our traditional mass.”<\/p>\n \u201cWhen Discover Dominica set out to promote Dominica\u2019s Carnival we promoted it under the fact that our Carnival is authentic, it\u2019s affordable, it\u2019s safe and diverse,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd we saw that strategy come true in the past couple weeks and reinforced on Carnival Monday and Tuesday and the weeks leading up to these days with a massive success in terms of visibility, and being able to draw locals and international visitors to this vibrant celebration of our island\u2019s cultural heritage which is Dominica\u2019s Carnival.\u201d<\/p>\n Williams continued, \u201cFor the past couple days, we\u2019ve recognized the significant increase in social media followers [and] we were able to bring global attention to Dominica through influencers like actress Nathalie Emmanuel who we expect to share her experience with millions.\u201d<\/p>\n She believes that Dominica\u2019s Carnival this year has helped boost the island\u2019s profile, attracting more visitors and elevating the island\u2019s tourism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Chief Executive Officer of Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) Marva Williams has dubbed the 2025 Carnival Celebrations, as a unique celebration with \u201cmassive success\u201d.
