Dominica’s gold medalist Thea Lafond-Gadson, was officially presented the land title for property located in Warner, by Housing, Melissa Poponne Skerrit. The transfer occurred on April 8, 2025, as part of the Future Housing program.<\/p>\n

According to a press statement shared by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Minister Skerrit expressed her joy in formally delivering the title certificate to Lafond-Gadson for what is described as a “gorgeous” plot in Warner, noted for its breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains; recognition granted in honor of her gold medal achievement at the 2024 Olympics.<\/p>\n

Lafond-Gadson, says the release, shared her enthusiasm for receiving such a generous gift from the Government and the people of Dominica. She stated, \u201cMy husband and I are very excited to mark this new chapter in our lives […] I can\u2019t help but think about our family and our children growing up in a home in Dominica – We have a piece of our own sanctuary and we look forward to building something special.\u201d<\/p>\n
