Community cleanliness remains a top priority for the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation (DSWMC), and in doing so, the corporation\u00a0is currently focusing its efforts on the Fond Cole area clean-up.<\/p>\n

An announcement on the DSWMC Facebook Page states that a truly clean community starts with how persons manage their waste at home.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe urge all residents to stop co-mingling waste. This means not putting all your waste in one bag. Please separate your recyclables from your general waste \u2013 recyclables should never be mixed with your general refuse,\u201d the corporation urged.<\/p>\n

It went on to add that, \u201csolving our waste challenges and keeping our communities clean is a shared responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can only achieve this if everyone plays their part by sorting waste at the source and only putting out waste on the specified days and times,\u201d the corporation indicated.<\/p>\n

The public is reminded to follow the corporation\u2019s Facebook page for daily schedules and updates.<\/p>\n

\u201cRemember waste is everyone’s responsibility, together we can keep Dominica Clean,\u201d the corporation indicated.<\/p>\n
