Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dominica officially welcomed 20 new members during a ceremony held at the Prevost Cinemall Ballroom on June 14, 2025. The event reaffirmed the organization\u2019s dedication to nurturing young leaders dedicated to fostering positive community development, stated a press release.<\/p>\n

The new inductees are: Keerah Ashford, Chad Bruney, Lavern Bruno, Dezarie Burnette, Shakel Charles, Abigail Christmas, Ricardo Cognet, Tatiana Corbette, Warren Edwards, Wakame Fabien, Kerisha Green, Anna-Lisa Hunter, Dr. Dylan Hypolite, Bianca Jack, Jayren Joseph, Irnie Maximae, Kiara Marcel, Ketra Polydore, Shaniece Registe, and Alleyna Robin.<\/p>\n

According to JCI, this induction event marked the conclusion of JCI Dominica\u2019s 2025 Recruitment Orientation and Selection (ROS) Program. The program offered mentorship and training in various key areas including Effective Communication, Public Speaking, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Budgeting, Mental Health, and JCI Networking. It commenced in January with an orientation session and meet-and-greet at the UWI Open Campus.<\/p>\n

Queen Thomas delivered the keynote speech, urging the inductees to lead with intention and enthusiasm under the theme \u201cEmpowered to Transform, Inspired to Lead.\u201d She emphasized that leadership should be viewed not merely as holding a title but as everyday acts of service and vision.<\/p>\n

Senator Regina Bunbury, National Executive Vice President of JCI West Indies, encouraged members to focus on four core pillars of JCI: personal development, community impact, global collaboration, and entrepreneurship. She highlighted that this moment signifies the beginning of an impactful journey.<\/p>\n

Representing the JCI Senate of Dominica, ADC Commissioner Senator Meritta Hyacinth urged the new members to go beyond social gatherings and actively participate in meaningful projects, training sessions, and leadership roles. She reminded them, \u201cJCI isn\u2019t just a place to belong\u2014it\u2019s a place to become.\u201d<\/p>\n

JCI Dominica President Phael Lander welcomed the new members with a message emphasizing reflection and resilience. Sharing his own experiences, he underscored that leadership involves showing up, serving others, and inspiring, particularly during difficult times.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t wait for permission. We create paths. We pursue excellence relentlessly,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n
