The Rotary Club of Dominica has announced the successful completion of the first stage of its community service initiative, involving the construction of the Massacre Walkway near the Massacre Primary School.<\/p>\n

The Club relayed in a press release that the pathway, previously a hazardous dirt trail, has been upgraded into a concrete, secure, and safe corridor, providing benefits to students, educators, and residents within the Canefield and Massacre areas.<\/p>\n

This essential project was initiated to enhance the safety and accessibility of a heavily used route, particularly for young children commuting to and from school, especially during inclement weather, stated the organization.<\/p>\n

Through their efforts, the Rotary Club assures that the route has now been paved, reinforced structurally, and made safer for all users.<\/p>\n

According to Club personnel, the entire project, which cost approximately EC$26,000, was fully financed and implemented through donations received by the Rotary Club of Dominica. The statement also shared that this\u00a0reflects the organization’s ongoing dedication to community development and youth safety. Work is ongoing on the subsequent phase of the project, which involves painting the railings and installing appropriate signage to further improve the walkway\u2019s safety and aesthetic appeal.<\/p>\n

The Rotary Club extends its gratitude to partners and patrons of The Original Souse and Punch, the club\u2019s
