Exactly 36 years after their days at Convent High School, the graduates of the Class of 1989 are leaving a meaningful legacy as dedicated alumni giving back to the institution that shaped their lives. Established in November 2023, the alumni group stated that it continues to expand, driven by a common goal to support CHS students and the school community.<\/p>\n

They also said in their statement that their inaugural major contribution in 2024 saw a donation of $5,000 to help cover graduation costs and to establish the Class of 1989 Humanitarian and Community Award. The award honors students dedicated to service and community involvement.<\/p>\n

This year, alumni representatives shared that they returned to their alma mater dressed in their former school uniforms to pledge an additional $2,500 for graduation prizes. These funds will support two significant honors: the Class of 1989 Humanitarian & Community Service Award and the Award for Perseverance, Self-Development, and Conduct.<\/p>\n

Each awardee will receive up to $1,000, with an extra $500 designated for the school\u2019s Honors Awards program.<\/p>\n
