She accumulated 104 runs over three matches, including a vital half-century in the second game, and also took four wickets. Her influence was especially notable in the T20I series, where she led the team to a narrow 2-1 victory and was named Player of the Series. This past month was another strong one for me, and I was especially pleased with the way we played as a team to secure the T20I series win against South Africa,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p>She also highlighted that individual awards are secondary to team progress, adding, \u201cIndividual awards are never the goal, but they\u2019re a reflection of the hard work that goes in behind the scenes. The focus now is on building momentum, for myself and for the team as we continue pushing towards bigger results and a stronger future for women\u2019s cricket.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the media statement, since her debut at age 16, Matthews has been a vital figure for West Indies cricket, playing a key role in their historic 2016 Women\u2019s T20 World Cup victory and remaining a leader as the team prepares for future challenges.
