In a tribute to the late Chairman of HHV Whitchurch and Company Limited, Gerry Aird, the company’s staff described him as a visionary leader whose legacy is woven into the fabric of the business he helped build and guide to excellence. Mr. Aird passed away peacefully at his residence on July 18, 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis unwavering dedication, humble demeanor, and quiet strength were a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of working with him,\u201d the company\u2019s statement read, echoing the deep respect and admiration held for the businessman.<\/p>\n

Under his stewardship, HHV Whitchurch grew in both scope and reputation, grounded firmly in the values Mr. Aird cherished. Staff recalled how he instilled the belief that \u201cevery customer deserves respect, attention, and kindness,\u201d a philosophy that shaped the company\u2019s approach to service.<\/p>\n

Though he was reserved about his generosity, those who knew him spoke warmly of the compassion that defined his life. \u201cHe gave not for recognition, but from the goodness of his heart,\u201d the statement emphasized, recounting countless quiet acts of kindness. It added, “He was known for his calm presence and his ability to maintain balance in the face of challenges, a trait that made him both a respected leader and a trusted friend.”<\/p>\n

Mr. Aird was also deeply committed to his faith as a devout Catholic, supporting his church and community with both time and talent. He contributed significantly to national development by volunteering with statutory organizations, earning him recognition not just as a corporate leader, but as a proud and devoted son of Dominica.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we come to terms with this great loss,\u201d the company said, \u201cwe find solace in the memories he has left behind and the enduring legacy he has built. Mr. Aird touched countless lives with his integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to excellence.”<\/p>\n

The staff of HHV Whitchurch, Ground Handlers Ltd, and Millennium Ventures Inc extend condolences to Mr. Aird\u2019s children\u2014Jason, Damian, and Renee\u2014and their families.<\/p>\n
