Increased moisture and instability associated with a strong, westward-moving tropical wave are affecting the region. Cloudy to overcast skies with widespread showers\u2014some moderate to heavy at times\u2014and scattered thunderstorms can be expected during the night and into Wednesday night. As a result, a Flood Watch, which means flooding is possible during the watch period, has been issued and is valid until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday. An extension and or upgrade to a warning is likely, depending on how conditions develop. Breezy conditions can also be expected from tonight.<\/p>\n

The public should remain alert and exercise caution. Look out for excessive runoff and river flooding, flooding of low-lying bridges and streets, increased turbidity of streams and rivers, and landslides and falling rocks in vulnerable areas.<\/p>\n

A reduction in Saharan dust concentrations is expected across the area from tonight.<\/p>\n
