Demonstrating a journey driven by intention and connection, Caribbean residents Engel and Amanda Jones, along with their three children aged 16, 11, and 5, recently completed an extensive road trip across the United States.<\/p>\n

The Trinidadian couple shared with DNO that over the course of six days, they traveled through 21 states, with an additional day spent visiting Alabama, bringing their total to 22 states covered in just over a week.<\/p>\n

According to them, the expedition extended beyond mere travel; it was a purposeful endeavor aimed at fostering family bonds, literacy, and cultural appreciation, “To invest in what matters most\u2014our children\u2014by creating a journey that blends books, new places, and possibilities, through acts of love that speak louder than words.”<\/p>\n

Rooted in the desire to prioritize meaningful experiences with their children\u2014by integrating visits to literary and cultural landmarks into their journey, their guiding principle was to demonstrate how acts of love and intentionality can create lasting memories and inspire others.<\/p>\n

Throughout the trip, Amanda Jones provided daily narration, sharing insights and reflections on their experiences.<\/p>\n

Their itinerary included notable stops at prominent libraries, museums, and historic sites such as the Savannah Public Library in Georgia, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.<\/p>\n

Each location was selected to stimulate curiosity, promote learning, and honor the power of storytelling.<\/p>\n

This family adventure builds upon a previous commitment made in 2018, when Engel and Amanda traveled across 48 U.S. states and parts of Canada. During that earlier journey, they report that they conducted nearly 350 face-to-face interviews for Engel’s global podcast, #12minconvos. While their children were not part of that initial experience, they now play a central role in this ongoing family mission.<\/p>\n

Having completed visits to 22 states, the Jones family has plans to continue their journey, aiming to cover the remaining 28 states. They also intend to involve their audience in their travels, emphasizing that dreams and aspirations are achievable with dedication and purpose.<\/p>\n

As part of their ongoing project, the family is preparing to release a series of short, documentary-style videos on their YouTube channel, Family Faith In Action.<\/p>\n

These videos will feature highlights from each day, interviews, personal reflections, and narration by Amanda Jones, all designed to inspire viewers and share their story of love, exploration, and legacy.<\/p>\n
