Danika Paul<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is investigating the sudden death of 16-year-old\u00a0Danika Paul of Powell, Grand Bay\u00a0today.<\/p>\n

According to reports from police, Paul was pronounced dead at about 6:30 a.m. at the Grandbay Health Centre\u00a0having been taken there for medical attention.<\/p>\n

She was a 4th form student at the Convent High School\u00a0(CHS)\u00a0and former top student in 2021 at the\u00a0Grade 6\u00a0National\u00a0Assessment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The CDPF expresses sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the deceased.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, \u00a0the principal, staff and students of the CHS are deeply saddened by the passing of Danika.<\/p>\n

According to a message on the school\u2019s Facebook Page, \u201cLosing a student is like losing our very own child, and today we share in the pain and grief of her family and loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post went on to add that Danika, though very quiet, made a big impact on the CHS community.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe continuously challenged herself and thrived both academically and in her clubs, showing determination, humility, and a genuine willingness to serve,\u201d the post stated. \u201cShe was loved and respected by many, and her memory will live on in our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post continues, \u201cWe extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones. May you find comfort in the prayers and support of all who mourn with you, and may her soul Rest In Eternal Peace.<\/p>\n
