CCCUL scholarship recipients<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Central Co-operative Credit Union Limited (CCCUL) has announced the recipients of its 2025 scholarship awards, recognizing students based on both need and merit. The organization, via press release, stated that two students have been presented with the J.B. Eugene Scholarship, awarded for academic excellence, and two students with the Father Raymond Proesmans Scholarship, granted to those demonstrating financial need.<\/p>\n

The students who received the J.B. Eugene Scholarship are Nisaa Rayel Joseph and Kinaya Riviere. Meanwhile, the recipients of the Father Raymond Proesmans Scholarship are Namik Fabien and Nahalia Peter.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Lorraine Henderson-Reid, the Marketing Manager, addressed the scholarship recipients during the ceremony. She emphasized that receiving this award highlights their talent and dedication. Mrs. Henderson-Reid expressed pride on behalf of the Society, noting their support for the students\u2019 educational endeavors and their anticipation of the outstanding achievements the students are destined to accomplish.<\/p>\n

Mr. Aylmer Irish, the General Manager, offered words of encouragement to the new high school students. He remarked, “Today’s ceremony is further evident of the successes of the Central Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. Our ability to grant scholarships is a direct result of the hard work of the volunteers and staff and the loyalty of the members. This is a lesson which you, the recipient of the scholarship, should take with you throughout your life. If you work hard, you can achieve most things in life. In the case of the credit union, we have both mission and vision statements which guide us on a daily basis. You too as students can define your dreams; it is not too early to decide what you want to become in life. It is important for you, with the assistance of your parents, to begin laying down a good foundation which begins with education.”<\/p>\n

Miss Tanisha Balson\u2014Miss Dominica 2025\u2014who gave a motivational speech for the event, encouraged the students as they begin their high school journey. She advised, “You’re about to start high school, and I want you to understand just how important this next chapter is. Your education is a gift. Don’t take it for granted. Every assignment, every lesson, every teacher, it’s all preparing you for something bigger. So, give it your best. Show up not just with your books, but with your heart. Commit to doing more than just ‘getting by’ commit to becoming someone you can be proud of.”<\/p>\n

According to the release, the event underscored the students\u2019 dedication to learning, their enthusiasm for knowledge, and their potential to make meaningful contributions to the credit union, their community, and beyond.<\/p>\n

Mr. Lisle Bruney, Treasurer of the Board of Directors, highlighted the credit union\u2019s commitment to community investment through education. He expressed that, true to the cooperative spirit, the organization is honored to present these scholarships as a means of fostering growth and opportunity.<\/p>\n

The Central Co-operative Credit Union family also extended their best wishes to all scholarship recipients.
