Chief Cultural Officer Earlson Matthew serves as Creative Director. The group includes 26 youth delegates who will take part in the Caribbean Youth Village, a program designed for young creatives to present their work and engage with peers from across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Dominica is set to participate in the Opening Parade and Ceremony on August 22 and will host its Country Night on August 26. The Country Night presentation, choreographed by officers of the Cultural Division, will depict the island\u2019s cultural history, including its geological formation and the contributions of the Kalinago, Europeans, and Africans. The performance will incorporate traditional folk elements, Kalinago heritage, and Bouyon music.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation will also engage in fringe events such as Lunchtime Concerts and regional dance showcases. Additionally, Dominica will have a display at the Grand Market featuring fine art, crafts, and locally made products.
