On behalf of the Government and people of Dominica, I express deepest condolences on the passing of former Minister of Government, Mr. Julius Timothy.<\/p>\n

Mr. Timothy served our nation with distinction and commitment during his many years in public life. As a parliamentarian and cabinet minister, he was dedicated to national development and to improving the lives of the Dominican people. He held several ministerial portfolios, including Finance, Health and Urban Renewal, and served as Dominica\u2019s Non-Resident Ambassador to Mexico. His contribution to business and public service will be remembered with gratitude.<\/p>\n

I was privileged to work alongside Mr. Timothy in Cabinet between 2006-2014 and witnessed firsthand his dedication to national progress and his deep concern for the welfare of our people.<\/p>\n

I extend heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends and all who mourn his loss.
