Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave are expected to result in cloudy periods with some scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms today. A reduction in moisture levels can be expected tonight. The Flood Watch has been discontinued. However, people in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks should remain alert and exercise caution. Windy conditions are expected to continue today.<\/p>\n

A slight concentration of dust haze is expected to move across the area today and tonight. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions to avoid complications.<\/p>\n

Seas will be moderate to rough during the next 12 to 24 hours, with wave heights decreasing to near 5 ft along the west coast and maintaining near 10 ft in open water along the east coast. Additionally, northerly swells and increased wave periods could result in ground swells. As a result, a High Surf Advisory and a Small Craft Warning for above-normal seas and high winds are in effect. Small craft operators should remain alert and exercise caution.
