Bouyon Artist Trilla-G from Dominica<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Following the immense success of the lead single, \u201cTake Me as I Am (Remix)4,\u201d which has amassed over one million views on YouTube since its debut in September 2024 Bouyon artist Trilla-G has officially unveiled his debut album, “Take Me as I Am: The Album”.<\/p>\n

A press release indicated that it was released on October 22, 2025. It also shared that the 13-track project highlights Trilla-G\u2019s artistic versatility, profound depth, and his daring reinterpretation of the Bouyon genre, “showcases Trilla-G\u2019s artistry, depth, and bold artistic interpretation of the Bouyon sound.”<\/p>\n

The artist’s full-length debut marks a significant milestone in his aims to evolve from a burgeoning Dominican talent to one of the Caribbean\u2019s most promising new artists. Trilla-G describes the project as \u201cintentional,\u201d aiming to reveal multiple facets of his artistic identity while pushing the boundaries of Bouyon music.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince I started doing Bouyon music, it\u2019s always been my dream to create a full body of work \u2014 but I wanted to wait for the right time,\u201d says Trilla-G. \u201cAfter traveling and performing across the Caribbean, I realized the time was now.\u00a0Take Me as I Am<\/i>\u00a0is about showing the world who I am on a deeper level and to break barriers through Bouyon music- a force to be reckoned with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Describing his courageous decision to pursue music full-time, he remarked, \u201cIt\u2019s been liberating.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like a job, but a job I love. Knowing you\u2019re the one who holds your destiny\u2014there\u2019s a level of pride in that, that I love,\u201d\u00a0 he added.<\/p>\n

“Take Me as I Am: The Album” delves into themes of love, personal growth, resilience, and self-identity, blending storytelling with rhythms, as outlined in the release.<\/p>\n

The recording process took place at Th3rdHouse Studios in the U.S. Virgin Islands and features collaborations with prominent regional artists. These include Grenadian Cultural Ambassador V\u2019ghn, Jamaican dancehall and pop sensation Stalk Ashley, Th3rd of the USVI\u2014creator of the RC&B: Rhythm, Caribbean, and Blues sound\u2014two-time Caribbean Music Award Bouyon Artist of the Year, Ridge, of Dominica, and Shelly, lead vocalist of Signal Band.<\/p>\n

The production credits span across the Caribbean and beyond, with contributions from Dominica\u2019s Mask Man, DernzMusik, and Fr3EzE; A Plus from St. Thomas; Hxnter from Canada; and Xavvo, GNS Beats, and TitoWeGlobal from St. Maarten.<\/p>\n

Trilla-G has performed at some of the Caribbean\u2019s most prominent festivals, including Miami Carnival, the World Creole Music Festival in Dominica, St. Maarten Carnival, USVI Carnival, Antigua Carnival, and Trinidad Carnival.<\/p>\n

“His performances have cemented his reputation as a dynamic and genre-defining entertainer who continues to push Bouyon\u2019s boundaries while staying grounded in his Dominican roots. Already, he has influenced listeners around the Caribbean to sing his catchy Kw\u00e9y\u00f2l phrases,” wrote the artist’s team.<\/p>\n

With this new album, Trilla-G offers a collection of mostly unreleased tracks that he hopes will appeal to both longtime followers and newcomers alike.<\/p>\n

With *Take Me as I Am*, Trilla-G says he is not only elevating his own career but also contributing to the broader movement of Bouyon, taking the stage on the first night of 2025 World Creole Music Festival, and at venues worldwide.<\/p>\n
