Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General Dr. Carla Barnett has acknowledged the nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for its leadership and unwavering dedication to regional unity as it marks its 46th Independence anniversary on October 27.<\/p>\n
A CARICOM media release shared her message of congratulations to Prime Minister the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves. Dr. Barnett praised the country\u2019s recent achievement in fully implementing the free movement regime, a milestone shared with three other CARICOM member states.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour recent implementation of the full free movement regime, alongside three other CARICOM Member States, clearly demonstrates your country\u2019s longstanding commitment to regional integration,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Dr. Barnett emphasized Saint Vincent and the Grenadines\u2019 proactive stance on fostering intra-regional connectivity. She highlighted its significant role as the lead Head of Government for Transport, covering both maritime and aviation sectors, within the CARICOM Quasi-Cabinet.<\/p>\n
