The Dominica Athletics Association (DAA) has announced a new partnership with Niagara Water, distributed locally by J. Astaphans & Co. Ltd. The group said, in a press release, that the collaboration represents an important development in the efforts to enhance athlete support and promote the growth of athletics throughout the island.<\/p>\n
Under the terms of this agreement, Niagara Water will provide its bottled water to meet the hydration needs of athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers participating in the DAA\u2019s scheduled events.\u00a0 According to the DAA, the partnership also emphasizes a shared dedication to athlete performance, well-being, and development.<\/p>\n
Annually, the DAA organizes about 15 national events, which include road races, track and field competitions, Kids\u2019 Athletics programs, and developmental workshops, with proper hydration being vital for both performance and safety.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the partnership, DAA President Brendan Williams stated, \u201cWe are extremely grateful to Niagara Water and J. Astaphans & Co. Ltd. for demonstrating such a meaningful commitment to sport and youth development in Dominica. Proper hydration is essential to an athlete’s health and peak performance, and this partnership ensures our athletes are supported at every stage of their journey. Together, we are investing not just in events, but in the future success and well-being of Dominican athletics.\u201d<\/p>\n
As part of the agreement, Niagara Water will be designated as the Official Hydration Partner of the DAA. The team stated that the role will provide brand exposure during events, through promotional materials and digital platforms, as well as opportunities for direct engagement with athletes and spectators.<\/p>\n
J. Astaphan & Co. Ltd. expressed enthusiasm in supporting the DAA through the Niagara Water brand, emphasizing the importance of athletics in youth development, health, and national pride.<\/p>\n
“The partnership builds on the DAA\u2019s growing legacy of producing world-class athletes, including Olympic and World Indoor Champion Thea LaFond, CARIFTA Games gold medallist Addison James, and Pan American Junior Games champion Treneese Hamilton,” explained the DAA.<\/p>\n
The company highlighted that this partnership allows for a practical contribution toward athlete well-being and performance, reinforcing their long-standing commitment to the communities of Dominica.<\/p>\n
