On Tuesday, January\u00a0 10, 2026, the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) \u2013 Community Oriented Policing Initiative continued its outreach with students of Forms 1-2 and 1-3 at the Convent High School.<\/p>\n
According to a statement by the CDPF, the interaction was conducted by School Resource Officer, Ag. Cpl Euley Baptiste, where, in light of the carnival season, students were sensitized on the importance of peer pressure awareness. Emphasis was placed on:<\/p>\n
Saying NO to drugs<\/p>\n
Refraining from alcohol consumption<\/p>\n
Not accepting drinks from strangers<\/p>\n
Being vigilant about opened, or uncovered drinks<\/p>\n
Avoiding leaving drinks unattended<\/p>\n
The statement further said that the session also coincided with the school\u2019s exciting annual activity dubbed \u201cAnything But a Bag,\u201d where students showcased their creativity using items such as pillowcases, strollers, a cooking pot, a drill kit, and other interesting alternatives.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo create a relaxed and engaging environment, ice breakers were conducted before each session, allowing the students and the officer to become better acquainted and interact freely,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
The CDPF says it remains committed to strengthening police-youth relationships and empowering our students to make safe, smart, and responsible choices.<\/p>\n
