The Girl Guides Association of Dominica (GGAD) has joined millions of members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in celebrating the centenary of World Thinking Day, a global tradition observed by more than 12 million girls across 153 countries.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s milestone carries special significance, as it marks 100 years since the first World Thinking Day was held in 1926. For a century, the day has provided a platform for girls and women to speak out on issues affecting them worldwide. The 2026 theme, \u201cOur Friendships,\u201d<\/em> highlights the bonds of sisterhood and solidarity that unite members across generations and borders.<\/p>\n The GGAD has organized a week of events to honor the centenary, blending tradition, reflection, and creativity:<\/p>\n World Thinking Day began as a way for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to reflect on their shared values and support one another across borders.
