Chairman of the Police Welfare\u00a0Association\u00a0(PWA)\u00a0Sergeant David Andrew\u00a0(Jr.) has announced that the association will convene a special general meeting next Wednesday to nominate a new executive.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe police welfare association convened a special general meeting to nominate members to form the new executive,\u201d he said during a statement. \u201c\u00a0Six members were nominated at this meeting to contest the election, having that seven-member who\u00a0were already nominated through the usual nomination process.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cSo we will see an election of 13 members contesting to form the new nine-member executive.\u201d<\/p>\n

The PWA\u00a0is an association which consists of all members of the Police Force below the rank of Assistant Superintendent, which acts through the Executive Committee.<\/p>\n
