The 16th edition of the DBS Radio, Felix Henderson, Ministry of Education, \u00a0National Reading Competition\u00a0was officially launched on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The competition is set to begin on April 15th, 2026.<\/p>\n

The launching ceremony was held at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Global Campus on Tuesday under the theme: \u201cReading and Literature\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00a0Today, we celebrate the DBS Radio, \u00a0Ministry of Education.\u00a0 Felix Henderson, National Reading Competition, a beacon of illuminating young minds, ages 10 and under, across Dominica, 16th Triumphant Edition,\u201d Coordinator of the\u00a0DBS Radio National Reading Competition\u00a0Ronillia<\/span>\u00a0Williams\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

\u00a0As coordinator of the DBS Radio National Reading Competition,\u00a0she\u00a0extended\u00a0profound gratitude to DBS Radio and the Ministry of Education for their unwavering commitment.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, \u00a0both institutions have sustained, \u00a0grown, \u00a0and elevated this platform \u00a0into Dominica’s premier literacy initiative \u00a0for our children,\u201d Williams stated. \u201cPrimary schools excel \u00a0by selecting readers \u00a0who embody their literacy focus.\u00a0 They \u00a0are our true ambassadors.\u201d<\/p>\n

She told teachers that\u00a0their\u00a0guidance shines through \u00a0children’s habits, \u00a0forging cultural heritage in each community, \u00a0and family traditions \u00a0that bind generations \u00a0with deep respect for reading.<\/p>\n
