The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) is inviting members, business leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to participate in its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Prevo Cinemall Ballroom. Proceedings will begin at 1:00 PM.<\/p>\n

The AGM will feature an Open Session under the theme \u201cBeyond the Runway: Unlocking Private Sector Growth Through Dominica\u2019s International Airport.\u201d<\/em> The highlight of this session will be a keynote address by Mr. Samuel Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the International Airport Development Company (IADC). Johnson is expected to outline opportunities for the private sector arising from the development of Dominica\u2019s international airport, described as the most transformative national project in the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

His presentation will explore how businesses can prepare to benefit from increased economic activity across sectors including tourism, logistics, construction, professional services, agriculture, trade, transport, retail, hospitality, and MSME development. A question-and-answer segment will follow, allowing attendees to engage directly on the opportunities ahead.<\/p>\n

The AGM will begin with the Open Session at 1:00 PM, followed by a Networking Break at 2:30 PM. The day\u2019s proceedings will then continue with the Closed Session at 2:45 PM, which will be reserved exclusively for DAIC members.<\/p>\n

The Open Session will be open to members and non-members, with attendance fees set at EC$125 for Members and EC$200 for Non-Members. Space is limited, and early confirmation is encouraged. The Closed Session will be reserved for DAIC members only and will cover statutory business, including reports, governance matters, membership concerns, and the election of Board Members.<\/p>\n
