When LIME officially announced its partnership with four-time Calypso King, Dennison \u2018King Dice\u2019 Joseph earlier this year, General Manager Jeffrey Baptiste promised to provide opportunities for him to take Dominica\u2019s Calypso to the regional stage.<\/p>\n

That promise is already bearing fruit as King Dice leaves state today for St. Vincent to guest perform at the Vinci Mas National Calypso Semi-finals this Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cLIME is the leading telecommunications provider in the region and like Dominica, LIME is the main sponsor for Carnival in many of the territories where we operate, and this provides the ideal opportunity to leverage partnerships and exchange of artists between islands\u201d said LIME\u2019s General Manager Jeffrey Baptiste. \u201cDice is an exceptionally talented calypsonian whom I am convinced will go to St. Vincent and represent himself, LIME and Dominica well\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n

King Dice, a former Junior Calypso Monarch, is the youngest and ONLY calypsonian to win four national crowns and five consecutive road march titles in Dominica\u2019s calypso history. He is set to introduce his music to the Vinci market where he will perform three of his crowning hits, \u2018These are the days\u2019 and \u2018Minding my Business\u2019 along with one of his upbeat selections. \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to perform\u00a0 at Vinci Mas and I am happy that LIME is living-up to their promise and giving me that opportunity to go out there and represent for Dominica Calypso\u201d said King Dice.<\/p>\n

The National Calypso semi-finals dubbed \u2018Fantastic Friday\u2019 will be held this Friday at the La Croix Palletization Center (Boxing Plant) and will feature 22 competitors.<\/p>\n

King Dice returns to Dominica on Saturday with his next journey set for Grenada\u2019s Spice Mas Calypso finals in August.
