President of the Dominica Football Association Patrick John says he is working towards having a sworn affidavit submitted to FIFA\u2019s Ethics Committee before a 48-hour ultimatum given by the world football governing body ends today.<\/p>\n

It is alleged that FIFA members Jack Warner and Mohamed Bin Hammam arranged payments of $40,000 (\u00a325,000) each in cash to the 25 members of the Caribbean Football Union.<\/p>\n

And the acting president of the embattled Caribbean Football Union (CFU), Jamaican Captain Horace Burrell, reported today that he expects all members to co-operate with investigations into bribery allegations and to comply in time to meet the 48-hour ultimatum issued by FIFA.<\/p>\n

FIFA has given Caribbean football leaders a last chance to explain their part in the Trinidad matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t had an executive meeting yet and we received a letter from the General Secretary of FIFA indicating that there will be a phase two of the investigations and they are asking that those who have not appeared before the ethics committee that we have a period of 48 hours to make contact by email. They are asking us to give knowledge about anything that transpired in Trinidad during the May conference. We have responded to them saying that we would appreciate if we would be advised as to the scope of information that is needed,\u201d John said.<\/p>\n

According to him the response, which was addressed to the chairman of the FIFA’s investigating committee Timothy Flin, also indicated that the DFA \u201cwith assistance from the associations legal advice\u00a0 shall promptly submit a sworn affidavit relating to our knowledge of what transpired at the Trinidad meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n
