The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) of the North East Comprehensive School (NECS) has reported that its needs will be catered for following a meeting with ministry of education personnel.<\/p>\n

The meeting followed protest action that the institution took because of \u201cunacceptable\u201d learning conditions at the school.<\/p>\n

Lighting at the school was one of the matters concerning the PTA and that will now be addressed, said PTA President Matthew Auguiste. \u201cEducation officials have looked into it and they have people on the ground who are making decisions as to the best materials to be used in those areas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Chairs will also be distributed to the North East Comprehensive. \u201cThe walkway area, major concern at the school, is being attended to. In fact, discussions are going on in ensuring that things happen,\u201d Auguiste added.<\/p>\n

Students were kept home from school when the PTA executed a planned protest on November 21 to draw attention to infrastructural and other problems at the school.<\/p>\n
