\"\"<\/a>A Gullet River man has been sentenced to one year in prison for threatening to kill his sister and her lover.<\/p>\n

Patison Joseph appeared before Magistrate Ossie Lewis where he pleaded guilty to three \u00a0threat offenses.<\/p>\n

Those charges stated that Joseph told his sister Juline Joseph, \u201cI going to beat you and roast you in your own house tonight,\u201d on January 22, 2012.<\/p>\n

On that same date he also told her boyfriend, Julien John Baptiste \u201canywhere I meet you I going to kill you.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the case presented by a police prosecutor, the entire issue was triggered by an earlier argument between the siblings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to chop you up and I must roast you in that house tonight,\u201d said Joseph before the matter was reported to the police.<\/p>\n

When confronted, the defendant told police that he was drunk at the time he made the threats.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou pulled out a cutlass from under your shirt . This is very serious\u2026you\u2019re a very dangerous man\u201d Magistrate Lewis told the defendant before pointing to his long list of convictions, some of which are of a similar nature.<\/p>\n
