Rowley<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s opposition leader wants his country\u2019s government to help avoid an economic collapse in Grenada.<\/p>\n

Dr Keith Rowley has made a call for action from his government against the backdrop of Grenada\u2019s indebtedness to Taiwan; an issue that recently threatened the closure of Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA) in St George\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The opposition People\u2019s National Movement (PNM) leader told reporters in Port of Spain that Trinidad and Tobago cannot turn a blind eye and allow the economy of Grenada to collapse.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have an interest in ensuring the Grenadian economy is not derailed by that dispute,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
