A Dominican was shot dead in the British Virgin Islands early on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Authorities have identify the victim as Kawanna Rhymer, 20.<\/p>\n

DNO understands she is from the village of Grand Fond.<\/p>\n

A man suspected to be the perpetrator of the crime has turned himself to the police and will be interrogated, BVI News Online has reported.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate the incident occurred at 4:00 am during an alleged altercation with a man in the parking lot of a night club.<\/p>\n

It is reported that the Dominican was employed at Delta Gas Station and was living in the BVI for a number of years.<\/p>\n

Grieving relatives have gathered at the Peebles Hospital in Tortola as police continue investigations into the crime.<\/p>\n

Relatives interviewed by the media in the BVI said Rhymer is a quiet person who stays away from trouble.<\/p>\n

Press reports from the the BVI also stated that the alleged perpetrator is known.<\/p>\n
