Local businessman Parry Bellot is commending the government of Dominica and China on their eigth anniversary of diplomatic relations.<\/p>\n

Bellot says the construction of the Windsor Park Stadium is one of the most valuable gifts deriving from that relationship.<\/p>\n

He also congratulated China for their contribution towards education and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cChina has given us valuable gifts. The stadium cost a lot of money. The previous government tried to do this and failed. When the DLP came in, it couldn\u2019t handle it on their own. It was trying to carry on from the previous government and found that there was no money for it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Chinese, he said is also assisting Dominica with very low interest loans for major projects like the state college and the awarding of scholarships.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe state house complex is another major project. It is not just a presidential mansion. Dominica has been deprived a proper residence for our President,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
